Pittnauer wines is the brainchild of Gerhard Pittnauer and his wife Brigitte who are based in Gols, which is part of the Burgenland in Eastern Austria. They farm biodynamically and don't use any chemicals in the vineyard. They built their new winery in the middle of the vineyards to preserve freshness, and even use refrigerated vans to store harvested fruit during hot vintages, before going to press. Admirable attention to detail which is reflected in the quality of all their wines.
