Sicily's godfather of Natural Wine, Frank Cornelissen, produces some of the world's most spellbinding wines from the idyllic surroundings of Mount Etna. Frank's philosophy has been, and will always be, to produce wines in line with nature from his 24-hectare vineyard where his no-compromise and meticulous approach to farming has put him at the forefront of the Natural Wine movement.
With a huge shipment landing at Juiced HQ in recent weeks we've rounded up 3 of Frank's flagship wines to give you the ultimate discovery pack.
First up is the latest 2020 Munjebel Rosso cuvee, arguably Frank's most notorius wine and the older, bolder, darker, and riche brother to Susucaru Rosso. Made from Nerello Mascalese grown in various different vineyards, Frank describes it as his vision of a traditional, balanced, and rich Northern Valley Etna wine. Be prepared for a more complex mouthfeel and an irresistible woody after tone.

Next is the iconic Susucaru Rosato 2021. The Rosato is produced with the same thought process and vinification techniques as all of Frank's other wines: skin contact for mouthfeel and territory identity, malolactic fermentation fully finished for density, fluidity, and stability. Susucaru Rosato is what we at Juiced think is the benchmark for refreshing summer wine, made from a blend of Malvasia, Moscadella, Insolia, and Nerello Mascalese, this is a “rosé” which can also be regarded as a light red, like a “Jura” wine, pairing well with a wide variety of dishes. Last up is Susucaru Rosso 2020, made famous by rapper Action Bronson and his hit TV show F***k That's Delicious, Frank Cornelissen's Susucaru Rosso is earthy with a fruit-forward approach consisting of cranberry, red plum, and fresh pomegranate. Smashable AF and a wine you have to tick off the list!
