Grandbois Weine is the awesome new project of husband and wife team, Philippe and Tanja Granbois who moved to the Moselle Valley in 2018 and settled in Maring-Noviand, their dream village, to raise their family and wines. Through shared experiences working in organically certified wineries and their own philosophy in the kitchen have led them down the path to organic certification for all of their vineyards. They limit plant protection to EU organic standards and work with nature instead of fighting it. The pair let everything ferment spontaneously in the wine cellar and neither add nor remove anything from the wine during the êlevage phase. Batonnage is often used. A mix of neutral and new oak is also used for fermentation and storage. Heart Pinot Noir Saignée 2022 is a very special semi sparkling Rose.  Saignée is a winemaking technique that is primarily used in red winemaking to concentrate a ferment by removing juice. The term saignée is French and comes from the verb 'to bleed'. A super rich, juicy wine with huge notes of Cherries, Dried Roses and a touch of Tobacco on the finish. No filtration or sulphur.

Hip Hopfen 2022 is a curious combination of cascade hops and Riesling that come together to create a mouthwatering wine that appeals to both the adventurous wine drinker and beer drinker alike. The Riesling from the pairs "Honey Mountain" plot was handpicked in October 22, pressed, and undergoes spontaneous fermention where the cascade hops are added in the last 3 days of the process. The resulting juice is full of fresh meadow vibes with a hoppy finish. Bone dry and super drinkable at only 9.5% ABV

When Life Gives You Lemons 2022 is a mouthwatering Pet Nat made from organic and hand-harvested Riesling from a plot named "Honey Mountain" in the Moselle Valley. Notes of lemon skins, honey melon, and dandelions with an off-dry finish. No filtration or added sulfur.

Heart Pinot Noir 2022 is Strawberry forward Pet Nat made from fruit in the pairs "Honey Mountain" plot in the Moselle Valley. The fruit was hand-harvested in September 2022 and spent 48 hours on skins before undergoing spontaneous fermentation. Red fruit, rosehips, and mild spice on the palate. We LOVE this one!

Pine Cone Pinot Blanc 2022 is made from fruit from the pair's "Canon" plot in the beautiful Moselle Valley. Grapes were machine harvested in October 2022, pressed, and spent 24 hours on skins before undergoing spontaneous fermentation. Notes of Peach and White flowers with mouthwatering salinity and a bone-dry finish. A proper winter white wine!

Heart Pinot Noir Rose 2022 is made from Pinot Noir from one of Granbois's prized plots, Castle Mountain. The organic fruit was hand-harvested in September 2021 and spent 24 hours on skins before before spontanuos fermentation using wild outdoor yeast. This ones liquid cherry pie with touches of Raspberry and Leather. An unreal Rose that drinks well 12 months of the year!!
