Maria 2022 from Renegade Urban Winery is a really special one. a floral nose with wonderful apricot aromas balanced nicely with a focused dry palate. Herbal notes are forthcoming, basil and mint leaf with a tinge of lemon peely acidity. This wine walks the line between acidity, fruit, and floral elements. A certified banger.

Mira Mira 2022 from Ochin Clovis is made from the extremely rare Pareillada Rosa variety, a very small grape variety that is white with a hint of pink just on the surface. The grapes come from a friend of Massimo at Partida Creus from 90-year-old vines. The wine itself is a rosé tinged wine with orange hues and beautiful layers of texture.

Rosafante 2021 from Sete is made from a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cesanese from 40 years old south-east facing vineyards. The grapes are fermented on the skins for 24 hours, followed by pressing in hydraulic press. The base wine is made sparkling with the addition of late harvest Cesanese grapes harvested towards the end of October. The wines is disgorged by hand in May. The Rosafante or ‘Pink Elephant’ represents a wine with a multiform soul combining beautiful crunchy fruit and savoury notes. Think crunchy sour cherry, dried cranberries, scrubbed herbs, violets and leather.
