Our latest mixed case includes 5 new arrivals with one common theme, all bursting with flavour and incredible winemaking.

First up is a very special Orange Wine from Dakashvilii, Kisi 2020. Think ripe apricots and peaches with a rich textural palate balanced by a zesty freshness. This is made with a blend of native Georgian varieties - Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane & Kisi. Made by Dakishvili family, something of a dynasty in the Georgian wine world, and one of the very best winemaking families in Georgia today.

Next up is Cuvee Royale 2019 from Vin de Lagamba. We are used to the glou-glou, youthful wines Alanna traditionally makes, but this is something far more sophisticated. Made from 2019 Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Riesling, this ones creamy, round, and matured with notes of marzipan and toasted brioche.

Hip Hopfen 2022 from Grandbois Weine is a curious combination of cascade hops and Riesling that come together to create a mouthwatering wine that appeals to both the adventurous wine drinker and beer drinker alike. The Riesling from the pairs "Honey Mountain" plot was handpicked in October 22, pressed, and undergoes spontaneous fermentation where the cascade hops are added in the last 3 days of the process. The resulting juice is full of fresh meadow vibes with a hoppy finish. Bone dry and super drinkable at only 9.5% ABV.

Jauma, Audreys Fairygarten 2022 is up next. Harvested from the early ripening vines of Ralph Woods' dry grown shiraz ridge in Clarendon. This ironstone rich outcrop combined with an early harvest choice, carbonic fermentation in the winery, and a slight spritz produces a super vibrant, fruity, and pretty wine backed up with lashings of minerality. Taste-wise it has strong rose notes, raspberries and a genuine tangy sherbet aftertone.

Sete, Rosafante 2021 is made from a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cesanese from 40 years old south-east facing vineyards. The grapes are fermented on the skins for 24 hours, followed by pressing in hydraulic press. The base wine is made sparkling with the addition of late harvest Cesanese grapes harvested towards the end of October. The wines is disgorged by hand in May. The Rosafante or ‘Pink Elephant’ represents a wine with a multiform soul combining beautiful crunchy fruit and savoury notes. Think crunchy sour cherry, dried cranberries, scrubbed herbs, violets and leather.
